Who We Are Jerry and Della Stanley owners of French Lace wish to thank all of the folks that have bought from us over the past couple of years. It has been a pleasure to meet such interesting people and hopefully bring them a little joy. We would also like to thank all the people we've bought from for being honest and professional. |

What We Do at French Lace We buy and sell antiques, but this is a very small part of our business. The majority of our time is spent doing restoration. We restore Furniture, Tube Radios, Wind Up Phonographs ( Victrolas ) and just about anything else brought in the shop. We have been in business for since 1990 and have customers throughtout the midwest, particularly Chicago, Indianapolis, and Bloomington. And now thanks to ebay, the world. We bought a building in Nov. 1999 and have spent a year getting it in shape. It was built around 1880 and needed and still does need a lot of work, but were getting there. It is a bit smaller than our old shop at 3125 sq.ft. but much more efficient. It has 15 ft. high tin ceilings so we were able to build 2 lofts overhead to get an extra 1000 sq. ft. My brother who owns Stanley Painting and my son did the paint job. Untill they scraped off all the old paint we had no idea how beautifully detailed the front was. All of the facade is tin. Our email address has changed it is phonoman1960@prairieinet.net, Phone 1-217-379-4140. I also have 18 years experiance building and servicing computers so if any of you new folks need help or have questions I'm glad to help. I'm in the shop M-F 8:30 - 6:30, Sat 11:00 - 5:30. |
